About Moreno Family Law, LLC
Serving the Denver Metropolitan
Attorney Kimberly N. Moreno has over eight years of experience working as an advocate for clients who need someone to guide them through the often difficult process of family law. Moreno Family Law, LLC is built on the foundations of caring and compassion for people who are dealing with painful situations.
Even before going to law school, Attorney Moreno sought to help people. She worked with abused children and was later a domestic violence counselor. With this background, it was natural that after getting her law degree from the prestigious Suffolk University Law School, she would go on to represent the victims of domestic violence in family law cases. Helping victims get protection and restraining orders continues to be a big part of what we do at Moreno Family Law, LLC.
The legal process of ending a marriage and starting a new life is often a difficult one, and Attorney Moreno brings personal compassion and reliable professionalism to the process of negotiating a divorce settlement. She prides herself on strong advocacy for her clients’ best interests, but this is always done in a spirit of listening, communication, and consultation.
Moreno Family Law, LLC serves clients throughout the Denver Metropolitan.

Helping People Get a Fresh Start
The issues that arise in a divorce settlement can not only be personally difficult, but they can also be legally complex. Moreover, the terms on which they are settled will go a long way towards shaping how the client’s life will be as it turns into a new chapter.
Colorado law requires that property between spouses be divided equitably, but that still leaves a lot of room for interpretation and negotiation. A property split does not have to be 50/50 to meet the legal standard of being equitable. The split need only be fair, which is considerably more arbitrary. Spouses need their lawyer to be a firm advocate for their interests so their voice gets heard in the quest for fairness.
Attorney Moreno believes the proper role of legal counsel is to advise and advocate for what the client wants, not go in like a bulldozer. When sensitive situations involve other people’s lives and futures, the approach of listening-based leadership can often lead to more positive outcomes.
Part of keeping the client involved means keeping them informed about the basics. When are the upcoming court dates or other relevant deadlines? We make sure our clients know those deadlines, that they understand what’s required, and we do everything in our power to make the process go smoothly. When you reach out to our office, you can count on responsive communication and service.

Finding the Solution to Family Law Matters
Child custody requires couples to reach agreement on a range of issues. The question of where the children will live is just the beginning. Who decides where they go to school? If medical issues should arise, who makes the decision? Who gets the kids for important holidays? Can one spouse take the children on a vacation out-of-state? All of these questions, and more, need to be resolved in a divorce settlement.
For the justice system to produce a fair outcome, your view and your interests have to be heard. That means your lawyer must take the time to listen and understand your perspective. Attorney Moreno aims to do that.
